AS PLAYERS OURSELVES, We were tired of seeing:
Elite players left behind because summer programs cost too much
Players chasing random one-off ice times with no real development plan
Players copying YouTube workouts, hopping programs, and never learning the “why”
Players with zero support building the habits, mindset, and work ethic it takes to play at a high level
Coaches lining their own pockets, while giving nothing back to the community that helps them.
From this, we built the core values behind Be a Pro.
our values
on-ice development
Our focus is on quality and enjoyment, combining skill development with hockey philosophy and mindset training. On the ice, we’ll build fundamental skills while exploring elite techniques, competition, and professional nuances, emphasizing habits even the best players maintain. Noah shares insights on mindset shifts and the tendencies of great players that distinguish good from great athletes. This program helps players work smarter, maximize potential, and tailor their game to unique strengths. By understanding habits specific to the pro level, players can make adjustments that elevate performance. Our goal is to help every player discover what works best for them.
off-ice development
Our program focuses on cultivating training habits, proper nutrition, and fostering community while building strength and power through workouts at the Canmore Rec Center Gym (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and emphasizing speed, mobility, and hockey-specific injury prevention at Lions Park Field (Tuesday, Thursday). Injury prevention targets hips, groins, shoulders, and neck, while players track progress, body weight, and nutrition through the Trainerize app to ensure consistent improvement, even when away. We have added even more benefits this summer. The first of these being detailed fitness testing at the start and end of the program, addressing specific needs and measuring progress in strength and speed to help players excel. The second of these will be 1x a week we will have a local physio come in and help players rehab injuries, or even help players get ahead of injuries before they occur.

our values
High-value training, fair pricing.
Give players a complete summer development plan—on the ice and off it.
Teach players the “why” behind what they’re doing.
Support players to build the habits, mindset and work ethic needed for high level hockey.
Give back to the community. We do this by donating a portion of our profits back to local minor hockey associations and charities.

learn the ways of a professional
The biggest win for any player in our program is learning to love the process. Not the hype, not the logo, the day-to-day work.
We show players that hard work can be enjoyable when you understand why you’re doing it, and have a good community of people supporting you. We talk with athletes, not at them. It’s real two-way coaching, not coaches barking orders and players staying quiet.
We push players to take ownership of their development—paying attention to the small details, not just going through drills to say they did them.
When players are coached like professionals, they start holding themselves to that standard.

“be a pro helped me achieve my goals—It improved my mindset and made me not only a better goalie but a better person”
I signed up for BE A PRO to play with higher-level players who want to get better and go hard every day. The program has definitely helped me achieve my goals. It improved my mindset and made me not only a better goalie but also a better person. It also showed me what it takes to reach the next level. What I liked most about the program was the guys—they were unreal and very helpful whenever I asked for feedback. I chose BE A PRO because of the high-quality players in the program, which made it stand out from other options. The benefits I’ve gained from joining BE A PRO include developing a better mindset, building a stronger work ethic, and learning how to have fun while playing the game.
